Namibia: Launch of the media ombudsman
"One of the major challenges the media faces is to uphold the right balance between serving the public interest and upholding the fundamental rights and freedom of citizens" stresses Media Ombudsman Clement Daniels
With the support of fesmedia Africa, the Ombudsman Namibia was launched. Below read the column in "the Namibian" about the launch:
THE Editor’s Forum of Namibia has launched the Media Ombudsman portfolio through which the public will air concerns about the role and activities of the media as well as facilitate the process through which media will keep a finger on their own pulse.
