
Senegal: APO blacklists Gabon over non-payment for services
The global leader in distribution of press releases -African Press Organization (APO) has stopped providing services to the Republic of Gabon, according to Dakar, Senegal headquartered organization.
The organization also offers a complete range of media relations tools including press release distribution, press videoconference, webcast, events promotion, and media monitoring. “Facing several excessively delayed payments occurred since July 2008, facing the wait-and-see policy of our interlocutors within the Presidency of the Gabonese Republic, and vis-a-vis a total lack of guarantees regarding the payment of our last invoice, emitted nearly six months ago, the African Press Organization had no other choice but to stop providing services to the Republic of Gabon”, declared Valerie Ndiaye, APO’s Business Development Manager.
Since July 2008, African Press Organization provide consultancy to the Gabonese Ambassador in Paris, ensures media monitoring for the Presidency of the Gabonese Republic, provides several daily press reviews sets by themes, and was in addition in charge of the distribution of some press releases issued by the Presidency of the Republic of Gabon.
The African Press Organization owns a media database of 25,000 journalists and media professionals who actively follow events in Africa. The African Press Organization provides free services to African journalists, innovative communications products to Public authorities and supports many African and International institutions in their strategic communications.
