
Angola: Members of Parliament Meet Journalists
Malanje — Deputies for the electoral area of Malanje meet Monday in the city, with officials and journalists of public media, listening to their concerns and the degree of cohabitation among employees.
During the meeting, the journalists had concerns about lack of transportation, salary increases, professional and academic training, among other things, aimed at improving working and social conditions of journalists.
The parliament members pledged to bring to the National Assembly, and to influence the executive boards of these companies in order to solve the problems presented.
The coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of Malange, Felisbina Bento dos Santos, said the mission's of deputies should begin to be felt in the province with the review of acts of the Government and the institutions, and the need to hold a meeting with the working class of media and others.
After the meeting, the officials visited the Angola Public Television (TPA), Radio Station (RNA), and Angola News Agency (ANGOP) and Edições de November (newspaper), to check on the ground their operation and difficulties.
